Bromsgrove is 3rd in Britain’s Top 10 Commuter Hotspots

Recent research shows that Bromsgrove ranks 3rd in the Top Ten Commuter Towns*, based on property growth figures.

Swanley in Kent has been identified as Britain’s number one commuter. The town has seen prices increase by almost 11% over the past year. And Dursley, in the Cotswolds is second with 9.71% growth.

The Midlands dominated the rankings, with three commuter towns close to Birmingham in the top 10, Bromsgrove Atherstone and Warwick. Bromsgrove, ranked 3rd, is around 30 minutes by train from Birmingham and property prices have risen by 9.61% to an average of £301,384.  For residents, this means it could take just 16 days to offset their annual rail travel costs!

Bromsgrove is well placed for the motorway network being only 2 miles from the M42 and 3 miles from the M5 and has a railway station with excellent links to both Birmingham and Worcester.

Further Bromsgrove boasts extensive investment in retail; with building work currently underway on a new shopping village, the recently opened Waitrose supermarket. As well as a wide variety of facilities including, restaurants, health clubs and a golf club.

The surrounding area is mostly countryside, home to desirable villages such as Barnt Green, Belbroughton and Chaddesley Corbett.  All offering traditional village lifestyles with excellent first schools, pubs, post offices and shops.
