Sight Concern Worcestershire

In Redditch this September you’re invited, whatever your age and ability, to become a 5K Colour Runner in Go Bright for Sight which aims to raise funds to help blind and partially sighted people to lead independent and fulfilling lives.

On Sunday 11th September at The Arrow Valley Country Park, Redditch runners and walkers will be warming up and getting ready for a 5K colour run.

Entrants start off dressed in white and pass through various paint stations en-route and by the time they reach the finish line they will be all colours of the rainbow.

The event is open to all ages and if you are visually impaired the organisers will aim to match you with a sighted guide.

The entry fee helps cover the cost of putting on the event. In addition, each participant is asked to raise as much sponsorship as possible to help our work supporting blind and partially sighted people to lead independent and fulfilling lives.

On the day, there will be face painting, food and drink and stalls, and massage courtesy of Hands at Work.

Is the paint harmful? The paint used is food grade cornstarch and is 100% natural and safe. It is biodegradable, washes away with rain, and leaves no trace on the ground. Each participant also receives a pair of neon sunglasses to protect their eyes.
