Worcester Festival 2017

Why not join in with Worcester’s biggest summer event? It runs from mid August through to the August Bank Holiday. With activities and fun for everyone across the city!

The Worcester Festival runs from Saturday 12th August to Monday 28th August. It culminates in St. Richard’s Hospice firework display.

The first Worcester Festival was in 2003 and since then it has grown year on year.

This year’s Festival offers 17 days of events and activities that offer something for everyone and is aimed at the people of Worcester and the surrounding areas. It aims to build relationships between large cross sections of the community with its great variety of events.

Any event that takes place during the Festival period could be registered as a Festival event, no matter how big or small. The organisers invite anyone who would like to be involved to get in touch – whether it’s to hand out brochures and balloons, taking photos or collecting for charity. There’s a role for everyone!

Events, many of which are free, include art exhibitions, walks around the city, climbing the cathedral tower, food markets, fossil exhibitions, ghost walks and much more. Music also plays a big part in the events with The Rajasthan Heritage Brass Band, English Symphony Orchestra, The Shirley Pipe band amongst the performers.
